Board Of Directors
Shane Harris - President
What led you to serve on the board?
In 2013 I was approached to present this idea to the Posse, so 4 of us met and discussed it, but it never went any further. In 2021 my wife and I attended a function, and I commented that we, the Posse, needed to get more involved. I was approached then again by the same two people wanting us to reconsider doing this in promoting men’s health.
I guess getting older, knowing guys my age and even younger that had either a health issue or that had passed away because of the lack of going to the doctor and getting prescreening because, of course, “ We’re men! We’re tough! It’s not going to happen to me! Heck, my dad didn’t do it, so why should I? “
But coming to the realization that “ Yes, it can happen to you, and it doesn’t matter just how tough you think you are, there’s a need for someone to stand up and be the first one in line. “ The Posse has a large platform, a group of men, pretty well known here in the county, and a voice to get the conversation started. In researching Men's Health Awareness, there’s really not much, if anything, out there. So let’s be the first; maybe we can make a difference in at least one man’s life.
What would you like to see happen with the Foundation in 3-5 years?
How much time do you have, and how long of a response do you really want? There’s so much to say. If I had my way, I’d like the foundation to become recognized nationwide. Have pro athletes pick up the slack and help us get the word out there. Have “ our cause “ be as strong as Tough Enough To Wear Pink. If you watch pro sports during the month of October they’re promoting women's health/ breast cancer, everything is pink. I don’t want to take anything at all from that, I would just like to see blue everywhere and the promotion of men's health everywhere. But all in all if we can help just one man and his family in a difficult time in their life, we’ll be successful.

Randy O'Neal - Vice President
What led you to serve on the board?
I believe in helping others as much as possible. When Shane shared his vision with me, it hit home. I thought that I could serve a far bigger amount of people through a foundation, than I could ever do from a personal perspective. I also thought for so many years that men’s health has been overlooked in the preventive health care system and that this foundation could change that.
What would I like to see happen with the Foundation in 3-5 years?
I would like to see the foundation be recognized across Texas in the next three years. In the next 5 years, I would like to see our efforts nationwide.

“You have everything you need to build something far bigger than yourself.”
Seth Denbow - Treasurer
What led you to serve on the board?
Males are hard-headed, normally don't want help, and don't take the time to take care of themselves on their health. I want to change and help adolescent males and men start focusing on their health, being proactive and preventative.
What would you like to see happen with the Foundation in 3-5 years?
To be recognized across the State of Texas where other foundations are either started or are mirroring after the BETWB mission of State the Mission statement.
A quote that inspires you?
"The choices we make reveal the true nature of our character. Are you doing it for the income or for the outcome?"
Robert Dyer - Secretary
What led you to serve on the board?
This board is an opportunity to get to be part of an organization on the ground floor level that can absolutely alter and potentially change lives based on the services we provide in Parker County. BETWB will serve a demographic that historically can be resistant to preventive and proactive measures and is an opportunity to do just that. I'm honored to be part of this organization.
What would you like to see happen with the Foundation in 3-5 years?
I would like to see the foundation create and deliver educational content at the highest level that is relatable to the community. I want BETWB to become a recognizable name/brand known for the services and assistance that we will be able to provide.

What led you to serve on the board?
I was led to serve on the foundation board because of my dad and 2 sons. My dad is a cancer survivor who now advocates for early preventative screenings. I want my boys to take the initiative to get screened and talk to others about the importance of men’s health.
What would you like to see happen with the Foundation in 3-5 years?
I hope we set the bar high and that others strive to make a difference, one person at a time. I want to see the number of people needing help in Parker County consistently decrease yearly.
